Wayne has worked in IT Leadership Roles, within the FMCG sector, for over 30 years.  He joined Pilgrim’s UK in 1994 where he held the position of IT Director before transitioning into the Pilgrim’s Shared Services team.

Scythia has worked as an in-house lawyer for the last 25 years. She joined Pilgrim’s five years ago and has taken the role of European General Counsel once the legal teams for Moy Park, Pilgrim’s UK and Pilgrim’s Food Masters were consolidated in Pilgrim’s Shared Services.

Ian graduated in Engineering and has experience in operations, procurement and supply chain management. Ian became Moy Park’s Director of Supply Chain Services, where he has been key in developing the operating model for procurement shared services across Moy Park, Pilgrim’s UK and Pilgrim’s Food Masters.

Kirsty joined Moy Park in 2017 in the role of HR and Organisation Development Director. With 20 years experience in the food industry, Kirsty joined Moy Park from Tulip where she held the position of HR Board Director.

Treasury

The Treasury department’s primary focus is managing the banking relationships for the Group in Europe to ensure there is sufficient funding and liquidity while also managing market risk. The team will provide a professional service that supports the business needs and adds value. The Shared Service Centre provides the opportunity to streamline and optimise processes across the Group.

IT helps create the best environment for our people and teams to thrive.  This is the foundation for our success by utilising the expertise from our operating business units into a single IT function which will drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and transformation moving forward.

The team’s top priority focus is implementing and evolving a world class IT Platform which is robust, reliable, secure and performant as the foundation for all other activities.  Building on this we will continue to deliver world class systems and enable the business to run efficiently, grow within this region and transform operations through usage and adoption of existing and new technologies.

Legal & Compliance

The Legal & Compliance team provide a wide range of legal services for the group including general commercial advice, acquisitions support, regulatory matters and dispute resolution, as well as managing the company secretarial function and the compliance programme. The team comprises six qualified lawyers and a Legal Assistant. The ethos of the Legal Team is to work collaboratively across the group, using their deep understanding of the business to generate creative solutions and provide commercially focused advice in a timely manner.

Financial Services

The Financial Services team will meet the financial reporting needs of the business from monthly, quarterly & annual reporting through to coordinating audit and statutory reporting. 

They will support the business in functional areas such as fixed assets/leasing as well as providing specialised business advice in indirect and corporate taxation. 

The team will focus on simplicity in processes and reporting as well as being a true partner to the business units.

Internal Audit

Our vision for Internal Audit under the shared services banner is to be seen by all entities as a trusted business partner and advisor.  As an audit department we provide audit services to all business units including support with SOX, Investigations, Compliance & Operational reviews to mention a few. 

As a business partner we are also on hand to help the business in the design and operation of controls that will lead to a more efficient Sox program, develop a risk assessment that will feed into the audit program helping us focus on the key business risks as local and central management see them. 

Supply Chain Services

The focus for Supply Chain Services will center around combining the skills and expertise we have in the separate companies to create a single team delivering procurement excellence across the business units.

Focused on implementing best procurement practices our objective is to ensure each business will be as competitive as they can be through robust inbound supply relationships and harnessing our newfound procurement scale. All of this requires constant and streamlined cooperation between the various stakeholders to keep the process smooth and seamless.

Our approach will be on People plus Process to achieve Performance. This includes providing our people with the skills, knowledge and opportunities they require to develop their careers and streamlining our processes, including systems, to be as efficient, effective and robust as possible in order that the performance of the team becomes the best it can be.

Transactional Services

Transactional Services includes:

Accounts Receivable

  • Management of credit risk
  • Raising of customer invoices
  • Collection of customer debt

Accounts Payable

  • Supplier invoice verification
  • Supplier payments

Payroll

  • Preparation of monthly, weekly and fortnightly payrolls 
  • Calculation of employee deductions Tax, NI and other areas.  

Master data – provision of a service for the creation and amendment of master data including customers, vendors, materials, customer prices

Continuous improvement

  • Implement and maintain a continuous improvement culture within Shared Services 
  • Prepare and facilitate the process improvements identification cycle
  • Prepare and delivering process training
  • Track and analyse Process Health KPIs, cooperate with Shared Services on identifying and eliminating the root causes of issues
  • Support Shared Services in resolving complex queries
  • Drive implementation of new solutions and supporting processes.
